Hi, I was diagnosed when I was 32 after 2 years of severe hot flashes, mood swings etc etc. fobbed off by my GP saying 'don't worry, your periods will come back to normal eventually!!

Used BCP for many years prior to that which disguised my symptoms.

Diagnosed at 38 with Premature Meno.  Started having symptoms after my son was born 10 years ago but didn't realize what it was.

Diagnosed last year just before I turned 35.  In retrospect I was probably in peri for years before that.  My periods started getting extremely weird from when I was 26.

------------------
Fiona

-Diagnosed age 34 in February, 2002

-HRT:Estradot 0.1(up from .05)   Prometrium 200mg taken in the evening days 15-25.

-tried Climara, but it didn't stick well, and irritated my skin.
-tried Esclim and thought it looked like a giant ugly pink bandaid (although it stuck really well)
-tried Vivelle and it was fine, but the Estradot is discreetly small, so Gentlemen, we have a winner...

I was clearly diagnosed at 38 yrs old, but had been dealing with severe symptoms for years - including essentially no periods, since I was 35, and more subtlely for some years prior.
Turns out there is a family history of early meno - 42-45 yrs, from both maternal and paternal sides of my family.  Maybe getting it from both sides of the family caused to occur many years earlier for me.

I was told on my 32nd birthday that my irregular bleeding (75 out of 82days) and other symptoms were "hormonally based", however the doctor stopped short of an official diagnosis.  Looking back, I always had painful periods, problems with the BCP, and pregnancy problems.

I was just diagnosed with Fibromyalgia April 2003, so my symptoms may be autoimmune based like many others here.

I was diagnosed with POF at 30,but had "issues" for years prior to that(infertility). Because of NIH- I (they)found the cause of my POF.

Aged 29 now - have had major problems for about a year. Not offically diagnosed yet, FSH - normal, low estrogen though.
Have suffered from chronic fatigue/m.e.(UK) about 5 years ago, which I have read is more prone to women who have low estrogen.
So I think I may have had low estrogen for a while and didnt know about it.

POF@18...diagnosed as "premature ovarian failure", but without much explanation.  I was 32 when I first heard the term "POF".  We tried 2 DE cycles, 1 fresh, 1 frozen with no success.  Will be trying DE again in the summer.

Diagnosed at aged 31 in Dec 2002, 4 months before my wedding. Now I'm 32. The worst nightmare of my life. Still trying to cope and asking why me. No reason for the condition.

Cut and paste of tallpatti's post from below:

Diagnosed at 39 after hyst. and went into ovarian failure. Dr.s figured I actually started POF in my late 20's but was controlled with BCP's.
